VW T6 keep dip beam on with high beam using Carista

The Problem

After fitting aftermarket THQ headlights, the owner needed to configure the ECU so dip beam stays on when high beam is activated, but this option did not appear anywhere in the standard Carista Evo app under the Exterior Lights menu. At the time, the standard Carista T6 software only supported reading fault codes and did not expose coding options.

Solution

1. Visit the Carista website and sign up for the Beta programme.
2. Wait a few minutes for the Beta app to be pushed automatically to your phone via the Google Play store.
3. Open the Beta app and navigate to the headlight settings section to find the dip-beam-on-with-high-beam option.
   • The Beta version also exposes additional driver assist settings not present in the standard app.
